Day 48 - Shopping

Nothing exciting happened during the day.
I went shopping and bought Scarlet a couple shirts and a pair of pants. She's already 15 pounds so I bought her size 9 months even though she's only 3 1/2 months old! She's in the 90th percentile for height and weight! I just want them to fit in the summer.....lol
I also bought some crochet supplies
In the evening I went out for dinner with a couple mommy friends. One I haven't seen in awhile so it was nice to catch up over sushi and deep fried bananas....YUMMY!!

Day 47 - Stitch & Bitch #3

I got together again with the ladies (and Jaxson) on Friday night at Amanda's house. This time I was taught how to crochet. I've tried a few times to teach myself but I just couldn't figure out how to hold the hook and get enough tension on the yarn. Alicia was a pretty good teacher :) She showed me a couple different stitches and I went from there.

Day 46 - Little House on the Prairie

My mom and I have had a Mirvish subscription for many years. This means that we get to see a ton of musicals and plays in Toronto. I think on average we see about 6 a year. We've seen wonderful shows like Mama Mia, The Sound of Music, Chicago, Sweeney Todd, etc. We've also seen some crap like We Will Rock You.
Little House on the Prairie lands on the crap list. I'm not sure what they were thinking putting Melissa Gilbert in as Ma but it was REALLY wrong. She can't sing and I really think she forgot how to act. It's a shame but I'm sure they cast her thinking it would sell more tickets. I'm sure it has but I'm also sure that many other people were disappointed.
I wasn't allowed to take photos so here are a few from the website

Day 45 - Story Time & Craft

Today we went with a few friends to a local book store for story time. As usual, Declan preferred to play with the Thomas stuff while Scarlet and I listened to the Olympic themed stories and chatted with friends.
Amanda brought her niece with her who I think is a year older than Declan. He had fun playing with her and making an Olympic torch.

Day 44 - Little Tot Spot

We checked out Little Tot Spot with a few friends. We were the only ones there so it was nice to let the kids run/crawl around and for us mom's to sit around and chat. Declan had a buidling and tearing things. I really like this place and I hope it does well. We'll be going back for sure

Day 43 - Family Day

The day started by Grandma & Grandpa coming to pick up Declan to take him for breakfast at his favourite spot, Cora's. He hung out at their house for a bit and then came home for nap time. After nap, Grandpa came back over. We bundled up and he took Declan, Scarlet & I to the pond to skate. Grandpa put on his skates and Declan's bob skates while Scarlet & I watched from the sideline. Declan thinks once he gets his skates on that he can skate like the hockey players so after falling on his arse several times, his spirit was broken a bit. Grandpa tried really hard but it just wasn't working. Luckily I managed to snap a few shots while he was having fun! Later we all (including Adam) went to my parents house for a nice dinner..........anything is wonderful when you don't have to cook it yourself! My mom always has something for dessert which is a nice treat ;)

Day 42 - Snuggles with Baby

Every since Declan laid eyes on my Mon Chi Chi he was in love. It's a monkey doll I've had since I was about 5 or 6. He sleeps with it every night and at nap time. He goes where ever he's sleeping over but that's where it ends. I really didn't want him dragging this thing around everywhere with him. I also didn't want him to loose it and then be upset when it was gone. Last year I sent out an SOS to anyone and everyone who might know where to get another one. After searching the net, I found a site in the USA that sells them but the shipping was atrocious! I was all set to order it and have it sent to my friend in the States when...........I stumbled upon one at Home Sense. Gotta love that store! Here's my little monkey loving up his little monkey aka Baby!

Day 41 - Cousins

My inlaws are visiting from near Ottawa with my nieces and nephews. I love when they come down. Declan can't get enough of all of them but especially Thommy & Grace. Grace loves to play mommy to Declan and he eats it up.
This afternoon, after playing the nanna & papa's basement for awhile, Grace and Declan appeared in the kitchen and told us that they had a dance to show us. I guess they had been practising for awhile and it was so cute. I managed to get a shot of their end pose...B.boys...LOL

Scarlet was hanging with one of my older nieces. Scarlet was talking Summer's ear off & blowing her tons of bubbles. It was so cute to see them together.

Day 40 - Rolling Rolling Rolling

Scarlet is officially a roller! She's done it a few times since about 1 1/2 months but now she really has it goin' on! She won't do it on command which makes me look like a liar a lot of the time but I swear (even though I quit swearing when I had children), she does roll............right Grandma & Daddy?!!?!

Day 39 - Be My Valentine

Today at the library, Declan made a valentine for his grandma and grandpa. He really doesn't care much about the crafts unless they involve glue (you all know how I fear glue & toddlers.... LOL), stickers or markers. Lucky for him (ummm, and me?), this craft included all of the above. He did a wonderful job and both grandma and (especially) grandpa loved thier handmade valentine's day card from their favourite little guy.

Day 38 - Treadmill and socks

I've started using the treadmill once a day. Taking it a bit slow in the beginning because I am SO out of shape! How did this happen you might ask? I'm a lazy bones. Although does running after a 2 1/2 year old count as exercise?
Today I just slipped on a pair of Adam's workout pants and started my workout. About 1/2 way through I was wondering why I was so freakin' hot.....................I was still wearing my knee socks. I'm such novice....LOL

Day 37 - Mama's girl

We had to attend a funeral so I didn't take many photos. Here's a photo I took of Scarlet and myself as well as her weekly shot.

I did get a phone call from my doctor with referrals/appointments to 2 specialist. I can't wait to see the dermatologist for the discolouration on my forehead. It's not until August though :(
It's gotten a lot worse since being pregnant for the second time. I really hope they can do something about it. I'm pretty sick or explaining the "bruises" in my head.

Day 36- Love to Shop

Today I got another package in the mail. It was a really cute pair of leather boots I ordered for Scarlet. I bought them in a size that will fit her when she's walking. Don't you just love them?! I wish they made them in my size!

I also hit up the sale at Bonnie Togs. It was alright but I was hoping to find more items for Scarlet....because she doesn't have enough clothes in her closet...LOL. I bought a few shirts for Scarlet, a pair of pants for Declan and a shirt and dress for my niece.

Day 35 - Potty Training

So we've been kind of potty training Declan for the past couple of months. To be honest, it's been asking him if he needs to go when we think of it. It's been hard to stay on top of things since becoming a mother of 2...I wonder why?! LOL I feel like I'm losing my mind sometimes. Anywho, on Sunday we decided that it's now All or Nothing. Diapers are a thing of the past (except for bedtime). He had a few accidents but that's to be expected. I'm just not diggin' the whole poop accidents......gross!!! I went and purchased more undies (or as he calls them, "panties") because I know we'll be going through a lot of them in the next couple of weeks.
Here are the new ones I picked up.
They make really cute undies for little boys!

Day 34 - My BFF

My friend Danielle came to visit from The States one last time before her baby is due. Her belly is so cute. Scarlet was talking away to Danielle and the baby. She was even hanging out on the baby belly!
This is baby #2 for her and her husband. I can't wait to meet this little girl!!

Day 33 - Friday night Stitch N' Bitch

A group of us mama's get together and do some sort of 'craft' on a Friday night once a month. This was our second meeting.
Alicia & Amanda were knitting, Sara was crocheting her trapezoid and I was sewing on the buttons to a reversible dress I made.
It's nice to chill out and hang without the kids and husbands every once in awhile. We had a few really good laughs as well....at the expense of our husbands! LMAO ;)

Day 32 - Rock N Roll

We went down to Adam's studio to help him out with cutting fabric for curtains. Declan loves going down there because it means he can play on the drums. The kids loves his rock n roll! I'm so glad that he has his daddy's studio to go to instead of making a noise

Day 31 - Pretty Pink Toy!

A mommy friend was thinning out her daughter's toys and was getting rid of this so I decided to get it for Scarlet. I would necessarily go out and buy something this gender specific but this is so cute! Scarlet's still too small for but I propped her up with a blanket for a photo op!

Day 30- Fun Mail

It's always nice to find a package in the mailbox mixed in with all the crappy bills and junk.
This is something that I ordered from www.babysteals.com (love this site, among others and NO, I don't have a problem...LOL) and totally forgot about it. When the package arrived I had no idea what was inside but I knew it had to be something fun!
I kind of feel like a horrible mum putting this thing around her head but it's not too tight and it looks SO incredibly adorable.
It came with 4 interchangeable flowers and one headband. I'm pretty sure I can find more headbands somewhere that would work with these flowers.
What a dolly!

Finally caught up

I'm sure there's a way of changing the dates on my posts but I can't figure it out. I think I'm finally caught up to date now with my 365 pics. The dates are wrong but the order is right!

Day 29 - Grandma & Grandpa

As I said in an early post, we are very fortunate to have family that lives so close.
After dinner tonight, Declan called Grandpa & Grandma and asked if they would come over for a visit. Grandpa NEVER says no so they came by.
Declan took Grandpa down to the (unfinished) basement right away to play hockey and remote control cars.....he's getting pretty good at using them too! They always have so much fun together. I get a kick out of watching them!
Grandma (my mom) stayed upstairs with me and Scarlet. We chatted and while she had a snuggle with her newest grand angel (that's what she calls them!)

Day 28- My little chef

Declan has been using is play stove more often lately. He decided to make me breakfast for dinner. It's really great watching him use his imagination while pouring and stirring . He made me a lovely meal!

Day 27 - Tea For Two

Declan loves to play tea party (yes, I am aware that he's a boy) and now he's very happy to have someone else to play with. He served Scarlet tea and biscuits after his nap yesterday afternoon.
I said it before and I'll say it again, I'm so glad he loves her!

Day 26 - Our Birthday

Saturday was OUR birthday. My birthday and Adam's birthday are one day apart so on that day, we celebrate them both.
This year we were suppose to go tubing but the weather was a little too cold for our liking plus, I'd had a yucky cough for awhile.
Instead, we decided to go bowling...I know, we're old! It was fun and I was horrible as usual. Adam used to bowl in a league so he was being cocky and kicking our asses.
A friend made the birthday cake for Adam in the shape of a ping pong table...his nickname is King Pong (among others). It was pretty delicious and really cute!
After bowling we went to a local pub that we used to hang out at pre-babies. It was nice to get out with friends. Some live so close but we still don't get to see them as often as we should.
I wish I didn't have that one extra drink at the end of the night. It's not so easy caring for a baby when you have a headache!

Just want to add that last week when we went out for dinner, I asked the server (at a pub we go to often) how old she thought I was. She guess I was 7 years younger than I am!!!!!! I guess she wanted a good tip..LOL
